MSFV President, Susanne Rice & Dr. Ronel Corbin

On Tuesday, February 6th we had the pleasure of meeting and learning all about Dr. Ronel Corbin and her practice, Healing Elephant Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic. She touched on different areas such as pain, menopause, insomnia, poor digestion, stress and other issues we experience as we get older. She explained how her jobs is to identify the roots of these causes that often stem from bad eating habits, lack of sleep and not enough blood to go around. Dr. Corbin stressed, "Making blood is a priority and the ideal amount is personal to your own system".

It was an engaging conversation and definitely a subject we all could relate to. She shared some tips and home remedies that can assist with blood making, beneficial to every part of our body - to keep at its optimal. Drinking homemade bonemarrow and beet soup was mentioned and a recipe was shared. Dr. Corbin delivered a cogent proram and invited all of our members to receive a complimentary consultation (be sure to mention Miami Shores Friendly Villagers when securing an appointment). She stressed that everyone is different and that a tailored program is indicative to examine and identify your stressors to achieve best results. There are different techniques she offers like acupuncture, auricular therapy, cupping, electrical stimulation, moxabustion and others.
