A WARM WELCOME BACK

We've come a long way.

It was wonderful to see everyone at our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 3, 2024! The room was buzzing with energy as old friends reconnected and new relationships were formed, all in high spirits. We were also excited to deliver our new 2024-2025 Yearbook. We are so grateful to all of our sponsors. The Yearbook is a work of art! and includes our scheduled programming, our new bylaws, etc. Make sure to get your copy.

We were honored to have Former Mayor Crystal Wagar in attendance and our featured speaker, Katia Saint Fleur, Former Councilwoman in our Village. Ms. Saint Fleur led an insightful discussion on civic duties. As we enter a contentious political season, she reminded us of the importance of respect and understanding. She emphasized, "We need to find more ways to recognize what we share in common, rather than focusing on our differences. The focus should not be division." Katia also addressed the recent primaries, revealing a surprising fact—only 13% of people voted. She stressed the significance of local elections and the impact they have on our community. Her message was clear: VOTE! In addition, she underscored the value of giving back to the community. "The price we pay to live here is to volunteer," she said. "Keep doing that. Recruit. Serve. Give back in whatever way you can."
